With apologies to some of you, as a few of these products aren’t perfect vegan products.
What’s your favourite pairing around this time of year when it comes to candy and wine?
I personally noticed at least two missing pieces:
- Sparkling or Champagne: I like these with stuff like Ferroro Rocher, ie. light, yet somehow rich chocolates with a little nut action to them. Maybe Mounds Coconut would be a part of this grouping?
- Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel or Merlot: go great with plain old dark chocolate
- Sweet wines: if you find a caramel that’s not made with butter but still actually taste good (post your fav brand below), this would be a good pairing, especially if the sweet wine carried a lot of acidity to balance the sugar in the wine.
