Yannick made his first Colombard in 1996 in the heart of Gascony, where the variety has been grown for hundreds of years. The grapes for Y. Rousseau Old Vines Colombard come from 42-year-old, dry-farmed vineyard in the Russian River Valley, one of the very few remaining Colombard vineyards in the area. Yannick chose to make this wine because of its unique character and to bring a slice of Gascony to American wine lovers.
