The Goddess Rhiannon is a figure of power and mystery in Celtic mythology, associated with magical birds and horses, and the contrasting qualities of change and steadfastness.
Crafting a distinctive blend, likewise, balances change and steadfastness: the uniqueness of each harvest must consistently express the winemaker’s personal vision. 2015 is our 5th vintage of Rhiannon. The wine is a blend of Petite Sirah, Syrah, and Barbera. Complex yet approachable in style, our California Red Wine expresses elegant red fruit flavors and toasty oak notes.
An absolutely amazing value... The wine, which was aged in French oak, displays a dense ruby/purple color and an attractive nose of blackberries, licorice, tar and a touch of subtle smoke. It is medium-bodied and has surprising density as well as intensity for a wine at this price range. It should drink nicely for another 2-3 years.
