Tasting Notes and Food Pairings:
Citrus and apple aromas promise a bright and lively wine. Refreshes the palate with flavours of apple, pear, peach and a lemony twist. Pair with any white fish, roast chicken, scallop and shrimp dishes. Also will complement pasta primavera or a summer salad.
Ron Bertrand Vineyard Manager’s Notes:
2015 came in with some unusually and at times brutally cold weather. By April/May the weather normalized and June gave us plenty of rain. The growing season gave us hope with sunny warm weather which ran into harvest time. This allowed us to get good maturation of fruit.
Roberto DiDomenico Winemaker’s Notes:
A cooler year allowed the chardonnay grapes to maintained great acidity making this a food friendly wine. The fermentation was cool and slow and a specially selected yeast was used. This style was not oaked aged and carries a fresh fruity style.
