Here's the tasting note from the site of Marcel Deiss:
Golden, ample dress, with thick disk and tears. Reserved nose of cherries in alcohol and lead of pencil, opening on the fresh fruit. Mouth of a big freshness in the attack, producing an intense salivation, a powerful, muscular and athletic body, then a finale long, tight and complex.
The wine is a blend of Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, and Auxerrois.
This wine will age up to 5 years in your cellar, gaining complexity as it sits, but can be thoroughly enjoyed now!
From Jancis Robinson:
Jean-Michel Deiss is one of those admirable if uncompromising wine producers in Alsace who really have gone their own way - and succeeded.
