Serena's Vineyard Private Reserve Cabernet 2010 is from the AVA Paso Robles, California. Otherwise known as "Napa South" where you will find great wines with all the character and qualities that you would expect in Napa and Sonoma but without the price. Clearly a region coming into its own, Cabernet Sauvignon is probably its best varietal exuberating its true character. One taste and you will agree.
This wine consistently receives great acolades with every tasting that Barrel Head Wine Imports provides. Bright raspberry and dry cranberry notes. Aromatics of olive and black licorice. Hints of dark cherries and currents; long on the palate and with some delightful vanilla and good grip of tannins. Nuances of berries and toasty French Oak with smooth dark cherry on the finnish. All this and this vintage still looks young. Enjoy!
