DENOMINATION: Brunello di Montalcino
REGION: Montalcino – Toscana
COMPOSITION: 100% Sangiovese
AGEING: minimum 26 months in French and Slovanian oak
The careful and constant monitoring during each stage of development- from the harvest to its final wine status- makes this our flagship product. Released in the 5th year after the harvest, the Brunello is aged in French tonneaux, with additional rest in the bottle.
It is ruby red in colour with a bouquet of ripe, red berries and dried flowers. Upon the pallet it stimulates the intensity of these small red berries blending with crushed violet and tobacco and creates a smooth, velvety texture to harmonise with rich and balanced tannins, for long and satisfying sensations.
It is advisable to pair it with specific dishes such as red meats and game, eventually served with mushrooms. It is also excellent with cheeses such as aged tome and Tuscan pecorino. In addition, due to its particular characteristics, it may be drunk as a wine fitting to ‘meditation’.
We suggest it is served, possibly after decanting, at a temperature of 64°F – 32°F.
